Climate related slips and falls are common in parking lots. To ensure that parking lot painted stripes are safe when wet its important to remove previous layers of paint as to allow the texture of the concrete to telegraph through the new paint. Applying additional layers of paint over older layers can create a smooth untextured surface which may increase the risk of climate related slips and falls.
