When students arrived back to campus this fall they found themselves gathering on a local beachfront pier when tragedy happened. The pier collapsed with dozens of students on it. Luckily no one was seriously injured but it could have been much worse.
So why did the pier collapse? Was it because of overcrowding, a structural defect, or something else? Most local media outlets failed to tell the viewer that the pier was scheduled for removal the day after it collapsed? So what exactly did the city know? Join Russ as he talks about what happened and what could have been done to prevent such this near-mis event.
