Are amusement park rides really safe? join Russ as he discusses the tallest and fastest Fury 325 Giga Roller Coaster near disaster. Although the North Carolina amusement park claimed they inspected the ride every day it took a park visitor to notice a fractured support column which had it failed, could have been deadly. How could this be? You won’t believe how long the steel support had been broken.
Russ also talks about the most recent public beach crisis. Just when you thought it was safe to go into the water we find out that most U.S. beaches are contaminated with fecal matter and if you didn’t know it our drinking water is also heavily contaminated with allegedly deadly “forever chemicals.” What exactly is going on with our water?
Lastly, Russ talks reviews the past years growing number of people who died as a result of falling off of cliffs in our national parks. It appears that the trend of taking selfies may be to blame. Sadly, most people simply do not understand risk…that is until it’s too late!
