A recent study published published by the University of Cincinnati (UC) claims that eating strawberries (strawberry powder) can reduce your risk of dementia. But is it true? Join Russ and Sean as they debunk this junk-science claim.

The researchers from UC based their study on a very small sample of only 30 people between the age of 50 and 65 and made vague references to the possible health effects they found not by consuming strawberries but rather strawberry powder.

Although most nutritionists would agree that eating berries are good for your health, few if any would suggest that they reduce the risk of dementia. Why? Because neurologists have yet to determine exactly how and why people get dementia. Be careful as to what headlines to believe!
